Felicia, Ya, I remembered I like to make agar agar in my schooling days too - I always contribute them at all BBQ or parties!
Those were the days!
Anncoo, Well, Sheen made it with some supervision - I allowed him to stand on a stool to cook the konnakyu. Once it is cooked, he is free to add colours, "tapole seeds", after he scoops them into the mould!
I am happy cos with this new hobby he looks forward to going bakery supplies shops... he will stand infront of the jelly section to pick what he fancies.

i was very into making koniyaku jelly too :P
